The Initiative: Partnerships Between Police and Communities of Color
Growing distrust for police officers has permeated society. Communities of color feel unsafe and with the advancement of social media, these communities continue to be targeted. There was an initiative called "Advancing the Blue and Black Partnership" which was started in hopes that local officials and communities could come together to develop strategies for creating healthy relationships. The people behind this initiative also created a tool to examine the effects of community-policing called CENTRAL.
